Terms of use

The website Abilio – Childhood knowledge dissemination center (hereinafter Abilio) is a site for childcare workers and researchers who wish to use our training courses and/or science dissemination services and/or obtain material for the implementation of one of our programs. Users of the site are subject to the following conditions:

1. Disclaimer of Liability

Although Abilio is diligent about the accuracy of the information posted on its website, its employees or directors assume no responsibility for the consequences of using the information provided. However, Abilio and its employees are responsible for rigorously monitoring the accuracy of the information on the website and invite you to contact them if you notice any information that appears to be prejudicial.

The Abilio site contains external links which are provided for information purposes only and cannot be held responsible for any damage to your computer from browsing or downloading from the site or that of a third party, or for any information associated with these links.

2. Reproduction rights and intellectual property

All content published on the Abilio website is protected by intellectual property rights and belongs to Abilio or the relevant copyright owners. These exclusive rights include, but are not limited to, text, newsletters, reports, images, videos, graphics, PDF documents, logos, photos and any other content published on the site.

It is forbidden:

  • to reproduce, translate or host the content of the aforementioned website, in whole or in part, on any medium (website, blog, mobile application, print, poster, sign, etc.), regardless of its nature, geographical location or intended purpose.
  • to host content from the Website on an intranet platform for the exclusive use of a given community, except with the express written authorization of Abilio or the relevant copyright owner.
  • to use the Abilio logo, in whole or in part, for commercial, profit-making or advertising purposes.
  • to reproduce or translate, in whole or in part, the material sold (e.g., user guide) unless otherwise specified.

3. Purchasing Policies

Currency

All prices displayed on the Abilio website are in Canadian dollars (CAD). Applicable taxes are calculated and added at checkout. Prices displayed may be in a currency that differs from your local currency, in which case some banks may charge applicable fees on cross-border transactions. Customers should check with their bank before making any payment to avoid or be aware of any additional charges that may apply.

Payment methods

Payment by Paypal and credit cards (Visa and Mastercard) are accepted on the website www.centreabilio.ca.

Price accuracy

If the price displayed in any newsletter, advertisement, social media, other websites or other communications differs from the price displayed on the site, the price displayed on the site will prevail. This applies whether due to human error or a technical failure of this site.

Exchange and refund

No exchanges or refunds will be made until the item has been returned by the Customer and received by Abilio. The product should be new and in good condition.

The return shipping costs are at the Customer’s expense, except in the event of an error on our part.

No returns or refunds will be made after 30 days from the date of receipt.

Abilio is not responsible for any damage caused during delivery.

Order Confirmation

A purchase confirmation will be sent to you by email. If you do not receive a confirmation number (in the form of a confirmation page or email) after submitting the payment information, or if you receive an error message or experience a service interruption after submitting the payment information, it is your responsibility to confirm whether or not your order has been placed with Abilio‘s customer service (info@centreabilio.ca). Only you could be aware of any problems that may have arisen during the purchasing process. We cannot be held responsible for any loss (monetary or otherwise) if you assume that an order has not been completed because you have not received a confirmation.

4. Delivery

The Abilio website accepts orders and deliveries in Canada and the United States. For orders and deliveries elsewhere in the world, please write to commandes@centreabilio.ca. Your order will be processed within 7-10 business days. This does not excludes delivery times. Delivery is by Purolator (except for some overseas shipments) and some products may be delivered in separate shipments. The Customer is aware of the risks* involved in sending his materials and accepts that Abilio cannot be held responsible for any problems concerning delivery. The Customer undertakes not to claim money or compensation, via an institution or by himself, for the non-receipt of his order.

*Loss, theft, non-delivery, delivery to a wrong address or any other reason resulting in the loss of the shipment.

Availability

All products are available while stocks last. You will be informed in writing if some products are not available at the time of your order, unless the site already displays that the desired item is out of stock. The number of places available for workshops and trainings courses is limited. If you wish to be placed on a waiting list for a workshop or training, a request must be made in writing to info@centreabilio.ca.

Cancellation or postponement of a workshop or training course

Abilio reserves the right to cancel, modify or postpone a workshop or training course if the number of participants is insufficient. Reservations made via the website are non-refundable, unless cancelled by Abilio. In the event of cancellation by the Customer, his reservation will be transferred to another group.

Service Fees

In addition to shipping charges and applicable taxes, training and material sold on the site are not subject to any additional service fees. In applicable cases, a delivery fee per order will be required. Once an order is shipped, delivery charges cannot be refunded at any time.

Responsibility

The Customer agrees that it they are responsible for having a reliable network connection in order to attend online workshops and training courses. The Customer must also have a working camera and microphone in order to participate and receive their participation certificate to a training course. The Customer is also responsible for providing a valid shipping address when purchasing equipment.
